First dome

Students in this Fairbanks, Alaska classroom pose with their first cardboard dome. This 2.5 meter diameter dome was made from scrounged cardboard (notice the lettering on one of the triangles.)  Whether purchased or scrounged, it is best and easiest to use single-ply corrugated cardboard for dome construction.
